2026 EPCP Annual Meeting Packet and Candidate Information

The 2026 Annual Meeting is upon us.

The Annual Meeting is scheduled for 6:30 PM on Wednesday, November 04, 2026, in the Bay Club Celebration Room located at 1500 Eagle Pointe Way, Chesapeake, Virginia.

ALL Unit owners are welcome to attend the annual meeting. The RSVP period ended on Sept. 30th; if you missed it and would like to attend, please contact the management office.

Three (3) Members of the Association will be elected to the Eagle Pointe Board of Directors; Each position is for a two (2) year term.

The following four (4) unit owners have submitted an application.

History and Current State of The Closed Golf Course

Subject: Update Regarding the Closed Golf Course Property Inquiry

Dear Eagle Pointe Residents,

The Board of Directors is writing to provide an update regarding the closed golf course property surrounding our community. Following an initial inquiry in August 2026, the Board President was recently contacted again by Wakefield Development / Chesapeake Homes (the developer) interested in the site.

The developer indicated they are continuing their evaluation of the property. Please find the key updates from this recent correspondence below:

• Development Plans: The developer has not yet finalized a plan ready to share with the Eagle Pointe community or the City of Chesapeake Planning Department. No formal plans or proposals have been submitted to the city to date.

• Community Resources: The developer intends to launch a dedicated website and phone number in the future to share information and address resident questions. Release dates for these resources have not yet been disclosed.

• Community Open House: The developer is tentatively planning an open-house event at The Venue (the building located just outside the main gate) for October 14, 2026. Please note that this date remains tentative and does not require a sign-up.

• Event Invitations: Official invitations containing final details will be sent via US mail directly from the developer, who confirmed they possess the mailing list for all Eagle Pointe residents.

• Board Meeting: The developer has offered to meet with representatives of the Board to discuss the potential project. We are currently working to schedule this meeting.

The Board will continue to actively monitor this situation and will share additional information as it becomes available.

At this time, no action is required from residents. However, if you are directly contacted by the developer or their representatives regarding this matter, we kindly request that you notify association management so that the information can be shared with the Board.

Subject: Update on Golf Course Property Inquiry

August 27th, 2026

Dear Eagle Pointe Residents,

The President of the Board has been contacted directly by a developer with an interest in the closed golf course surrounding the Eagle Pointe community.

The initial conversation was to share that the developer is in the process of evaluating the property. According to their representative, the evaluation is to help the company determine what the possibilities of the property may be.

They are at the beginning of their evaluation, and they do not have any further information to share at this time.

The entire Board has been briefed on the matter, as well as the Chair of the Golf Course and City Relations Committee and the association’s legal counsel.

We are sharing this information to inform the community that we are aware of the matter and will continue to monitor and provide appropriate updates as they become available.

At this time, there is no action requested from residents. We kindly ask that if you are contacted regarding this matter, you notify management so the information can be shared with the Board.
